PE: Our PE sessions will be on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. The Tuesday session will be indoor and will be a focus on Tennis. The Wednesday sessions will be outdoor Athletics sessions. Please can all children ensure they have the appropriate kit for both days.
Literacy- Wk beginning 3rd June Stories from other cultures
Week 1: This week we will be exploring the structure of this text type, how to use imaginative vocabularly, some oral story telling and a re-cap on poetry writing for our big write on Friday.
Week 2: This week we will be looking at different sentence level techniques including the use of adverbial phrases, speech puctuation, complex connectives and incorpertating character viewpoint. We will finish our week with a big write focus on newspaper reports.
Week 3: The children will be planning and writing their own stories from other stories.
Numeracy- Shape
Week 1: We will be looking at the properties of 2d and 3d shapes and how we can sort these shapes based on their properties. We will also be looking at position and movement with shapes and reflecting shapes in a variety of mirror lines.
Term 6 Spellings- click on this to access them Tests will take place weekly on Thursday and new spellings will be recieved the same day. For each term we focus on two spelling rules, spending three weeks on each rule.The spelling rules are added onto the website every term and can be accessed via the emails I send out.
Week 1-3: To develop knowledge of prefixes to generate new words from root words
Week 4-6: To revise and investigate links between meaning and spelling when using affixes
