 In class we we are learning...

 Spellings

Spelling tests take place on Tuesdays and the children will recieve their new set of spellings the same day.  This term we will be learning to develop knowledge of prefixes to generate new words from root words and to understand the use of the apostrophe in contracted forms of words.

Numeracy (Stand-alone lessons)

We will be doing a mixture of objectives this week to re-cap on aspects that we need more time on, in preparation for SATs week.

 Literacy (Newspaper Report)

This week we will be looking at the features of Newspaper reports, finding the best vocabularly to make the news reports interesting and the children will be learning how to structure a good report.

After this week (Wk beginning 30th April) the children will be taking part in the year 3/4 SATs test, which will then be followed by our week at GreatWood. The remaining two weeks of this Literacy unit will continue after these events.
